All kinds of everything - U2
Random thoughts and observations
• Announcement made at Heathrow – “…smoking is only allowed in the places specicifcally designated or smoking. These places are located outside the terminal building”! Was that meant to be sarcastic?
• Can’t recognise the terminal but the pick-up point outside was the same place where they picked us up to East London more than 10 years ago
• Weather was excellent – cold but loads of sunshine! Brilliant!
• The oldest recorded place in UK – so says the sign greeting us when we turned into Colchester!
• There are students playing American football on campus!!!! What the…?
• The leaves are starting to change colour
Along the road to Tesco!
• Nice to see the box-like houses again – not much individual character – but very much like the houses we used to draw when we are kids!
• Why am I the only person who wears shorts in the halls?
• There were girls out last nite wearing really short skirts and sleeveless blouses! It’s cold, alrite?
• They have the rodeo double burger at Burger King!!!
• Walked past a muddy river – there was a couple of white swans swimming in it!!
• Tesco Superstore is brilliant!
• The old ladies at store counters are really nice
• There are stray rabbits running around!
