Yes, Thiery Henry, that was a mighty fine performance!

It was a performance that Al Pacino would have been proud of! The way how he theatrically fell down and clutch his face like Mike Tyson punched him. I wish Mike would do so now...
The instant replays showed clearly that Puyol did not come close to Henry's face at all! Everyone in the bar saw that and whistled.
But the referee was conned, the freekick was given, the goal was scored and Spain is out.
Well, maybe Spain only had themselves to blame for not finishing the game off earlier. But for a person of the skill (i mean in the footballing sense) of Henry to stoop so low and resort to play acting was something we did not need to see in a fast-paced and entertaining match.
Pathetic. Truly pathetic.
Who says cheaters never prosper? :-(
