Frozen - Madonna
I was in the kitchen, chatting wif Michael when I glanced out of the window and noticed sumthing different. I looked again carefully. It was dark - past midnite - but I could see the light from the lamp-post reflected on the lake, as i do every nite. Only that tonite it was different. The reflection was still - unmoving!
The lake froze-up!!!!!!!!

"Come on, let's go!!!!! Grab your coat!"
Fast-forward 5 minutes, Michael and I were walking towards the lake in sub-zero temperature! Yes, there was a layer of ice on the surface! Holding on to each other, we tested the ice - real thin!!!!! Still, it was a sight to behold. A pity it was too dark (and cold!) for me to take any meaningful photos.
And yesterday was supposed to be the first day of spring! Hah!

Icy northerly winds will bring more snow on Wednesday night and Thursday as the country is gripped by some of the coldest weather so far this year.

anyways, we just tested the ice from the edge - and it broke even as we put our foot on it.
nope, din do the walk on ice a la Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind - must find a blue haired girl to do that wif!
