Cold song - Jewel

After more than 7 months here, i finally succumb to flu early this morning. It was awful. Then, as if things can't go any worse, Liverpool fell behind 2-0 even before half an hour was played in the FA Cup Finals!!!!

It was gonna be one of those days, i told meself. After all, today is May 13 - nothing good has been associated with this date. many decades ago, it was this day when the bloodiest racial riots took place back home in Malaysia. A few years ago, one of our dear sister-in-Christ went home to be with the Lord at a young age.

Oh, May 13 also hapens to be the day when KC was born! Case close. ;-P

So there i was, in me room, listening to the game online. Yeah, decided against going down to the pub to watch it. Me had a feeling that today was gonna be West Ham's day anyways. Well, it wasn't. Thanks to the men in red.

By the time the final whistle for the extra time went, i changed into warmer clothes and walked out to the pub. It was packed. I could hardly see the big screen but it din matter. I was there to celebrate wif the fans in red!

I know everyone is singing the praises of Stevie G. No doubt about his class! His second goal (and Liverpool's 3rd) was the stuff dreams are made of - 25 yards out, team trailing with one goal, the clock goes past the 90th minute and into injury time. What a strike!

Of course there's also the goalie. There are still doubts over him but i guess he can only get better. It was sort of an ironic twist that he became the hero because he was the villian! If he din gift West Ham with 2 goals, it would not have gone to the penalties shoot-out!

The usual reliable defenders seemed to have taken leave today! Finnan was alrite. Hyppia was good - until he missed the penalty! However, i'm running out of patience with the strike force. Thank goodness we still have Fowler!

But to me, credit has to be given to the midfield. Alonso and Sisoko, and subsequently Hamann had to play their role well in order for Stevie G to do what he did.

So May 13 isn't so bad after all! I mean, the racial riots turned out to be a grim reminder of the need to get along with each other. And our sister who left us left a frail body and entered into the wonderful presence of our Lord. Liverpool won the FA Cup in the end. And my flu seem to be getting better.

Oh, we still have KC wif us too. Well, we can't win them all, can we? ;-P

LOL!

Ok, ok, seriously, KC has been a great fren! Blessed b'day, mate!
