Take a bow - Madonna

Yeah, still haven't gotten over it yet! It may not have been as sweet as winning the Champions League last year - in fact, this seems a little like consolation prize, but still, it is a major trophy! 2 major trophies in 2 years!

I guess it really had to do with the way they won it. It could have been a boring predictable match with Liverpool scoring early and then defending as well as they have always been doing. But it wasn't!

The manner it was done - going behind 3 times, villians turning into heroes, last minute dream goals - totally awesome! And please be reminded that save for the penalties, i was merely listening to the match online in me room!

While West Ham did really well - and i've always had a soft spot for West Ham since my East London days - you have to honestly ask if winning the FA Cup by goals which were all gifted by the opposing team was truly deserved or not! On the other hand, look at Liverpool's 3 goals ( i saw them on match highlights online) - brilliant goals!

The pundits are saying that it was one of the best FA Cup finals ever - and what a way to say goodbye to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff! A fitting finale! It could have been a fitting curtain raiser for Wembley... but who knows? There's still next year!

Anyways, if i wasn't down wif cold and exams are just around the corner, i would have seriously considered taking the bus up to Liverpool to join in with the parade! As it is, i just have to satisfy meself wif the pics - some of which i share wif you (pics obtained from BBC News Online).

Sigh... it has come to that time of the year when we suffer footie withdrawal syndroms. Save for the Champions League Finals this Wed, it's curtains down for the footie leagues (altho some controversy clouds the Serie A in Italy). Today is the first Sunday when there is no footie to listen to or to watch. It feels strange...

Well, thank goodness for the World Cup next month! :-) No Rooney, no Messi. But still loads of footie! Just dun expect any miracles from Stevie G. As i said previously, it is thanks to players like Alonso, Sisoko and Hamann that allows Stevie G to play to his full potential. Unfortunately, England has no such players - not one. Perhaps Carrick might do the trick. But that won't be enuf.

We'll see how.
